Merry Magical Musical Mystery Tour

Merry Magical Musical Mystery Tour in Cleveland with What’s Up Weirdo

When I found out I’d been picked as a Patreon to join Jessica Knapik and John E.L. Tenney from the What’s Up Weirdo podcast for a three-day adventure in Cleveland, I knew it would be unforgettable. And it was—filled with ghost stories, a bit of post-election comfort, and a serious dose of Cleveland’s charm.

Day 1: Buckland Museum of Witchcraft & Magick

We kicked things off with a visit to the Buckland Museum, the perfect place for a group bonded by curiosity and a love for the paranormal. The museum houses a fascinating collection of artifacts, books, and displays dedicated to the history of witchcraft and magic in America. It was surreal to be in a place so dedicated to the strange and mystical, a theme that set the tone for our weekend.

Day 2: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame & Pizza Party

Our second day took us to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, where we were surrounded by icons of music history. The Hall’s exhibits of legendary costumes, memorabilia, and instruments made it feel like a walk through the decades. Later, we returned to the Hyatt Regency Cleveland at the Arcade—a stunning hotel with vintage charm—for a pizza party and drinks. This was the highlight of the night, as we all shared our own weird stories and connected over our love for the unusual. Jessica, Tenney, and the rest of us quickly bonded, finding common ground in our shared love for the paranormal.

Day 3: A Christmas Story House & Farewell Photos

On our final day, we headed to the A Christmas Story house, a nostalgic stop that had us all reliving the magic of this classic holiday film. Just being there, surrounded by the familiar sights from the movie, made it feel like a little holiday celebration in itself. As we wrapped up the tour, Jessica, Tenney, and beloved dog, Toad, made sure we had a memorable send-off with Polaroid photos—a thoughtful memento of our time together.

Wrapping Up

This trip with the What’s Up Weirdo crew was more than a fun getaway; it was a shared experience with like-minded people who found comfort in each other’s stories, even amid the post-election uncertainty. Leaving Cleveland was bittersweet, but I felt grateful for the laughter, the paranormal tales, and the wonderful memories with Jessica, Tenney, Toad, and my fellow weirdos. Until next time!
